"The best way to predict the future is to create it." - Abraham Lincoln.

We can't know the future, but we can always imagine it. Imagining means engaging our sub-consciousness to make decisions that are guided by our Self. When we hit the limits of the rationality of thought, we have the imaginative powers of music, arts, and poetry to reimagine our future.

The Future Workbook helps guide your journey to determine the future in which you would like to thrive, in an exercise-focused structured form. The workbook is divided into three sections:

  • Section A - Values Biographical Shaping: You reflect on how your values have been shaped and changed as you traverse your life's journey in the intervals of seven years. You then move to the present moment and define your current core values.
  • Section B - Future Universes: You visualize different futures & choose the most resonant one. You imagine three different futures based on inspirations from Arts, Poetry, and Music. For the first future, sit with a piece of art you like for a few minutes, close your eyes, and then imagine a future you would like to live in. Repeat the exercise two more times with music and poetry. Finally, choose a future most resonant with your values from the three earlier visualizations. This future could also be different than or a combination of the last three futures.
  • Section C - Action Planning: You develop an action plan to build the future: Action brings imagination to reality. It involves both saying yes and no to certain activities in life.

Proactive reflection on the question, what world we want to live in enables us to respond to emerging complexities and build a thriving future meaningfully. This workbook is your exercise based guide to reflect on the profound questions in a structured way.
